The emerging field of service computing is undeniably one of the few recent innovations in computing that are poised to redefine the field and take it to new heights. Service computing has so far been confined to the realm of wired computing. Its real potential and great impact will be felt when it starts reflecting on the expo-nential use of mobile devices for entertainment and business purposes. High-speed wireless networks have now made it possible to broadcast applications that would have been unfeasible a few years ago. The content of this book is a building block in the realization of the dream of network blind (wired/wireless) service broadcast. Since access to broadcast channels is by far the costliest part of accessing services, the book emphasizes the coverage of access methods in various service broadcast channel organizations.
