Abstract After entry into the WTO, the Chinese construction industry has had significant activity in the international market. However the degree of activity is still relatively uncertain. This paper discusses the international performance of Chinese construction industry based upon the degree of internationalization in the last ten years. The key finding is that the degree of internationalization of the Chinese construction industry has declined from 2000 to 2009.
