Abstract Carbon nanotubes were discovered by Iijima in 1991 [1], and they have received continuous growing interest as ideal reinforcement in composites with various matrices due to their unique structural, extraordinary mechanical, electrical, thermal and magnetic properties [2]. In recent years, many efforts have been made towards decorating CNTs with different materials [3,4].
