Abstract/Summary The main purpose of this report is to present a case for the design and implementation of a program to engage government-funded agencies and service providers in planning for climate change through adaptation. The report focuses on increasing the adaptive capacity or organisations in the primary health and community services sector in Victoria, but the recommendations can be applied to other sectors. The arguments presented in this report are supported by the research findings of the Implementing Adaptation project; a project funded by the Victorian Centre for Climate Change Adaptation Research (VCCCAR). The research pointed to a range of factors that develop organisational adaptive capacity and make climate change adaptation planning workable for different sized organisations.
