Abstract/Summary The report used an action research approach to identify the synergies in experiences of several institutions of higher education of using a distributed leadership approach to build leadership in learning and teaching. The outcomes included the design of an Action Self Enabling Reflective Tool (ASERT) to assist institutions to build leadership capacity in learning and teaching throung distributed leadership.
