Abstract/Summary The Interpretive Strategy report builds on the NCE Renewal project's previous reports: Market Research and the NCE Assessment. These identified the NCE's market niche, presented examples of best practice in relevant aspects of exhibition design in Canberra's educational tourism sector, established the NCE's mission and role and made wide-ranging recommendations about the exhibition redesign. This report sets the foundation for the NCE Renewal concept design by defining the exhibition's objectives and themes and proposing methods and preliminary designs for communicating these to visitors. The next phase of the project will produce the Concept Design submission, which will incorporate and expand on this strategy.
