Abstract Cybersecurity has recently emerged as a contemporary challenge for organizations around the globe. Although firms and individuals are aware of the consequences of cyber-attacks, the endeavour to improve cyber-security compliance is often jeopardized by human behaviour in organisations. We recognize that embracing gamification in cyber security training can develop a sense of fun and active learning among employees. The paper introduces a gamified training approach in the context of security programs in organizations to overcome users' resistance and ineffectiveness of traditional security training.
