Abstract This paper sketches some recent considerations regarding the need for information communication technology (ICT) in the broad context of education. It then notes the increasing emphasis on the attributes of computer technology in the field of art education before outlining an ongoing research project, which was designed to initiate, develop and refine ICT integration in art education within a specific pre-service teacher education setting.
