Abstract In a single-arm multicenter feasibility study of external beam partial breast irradiation, we examined the parameters associated with treatment plan quality as determined by the dosee volume parameters of organs at risk. The study accrued 48 patients, of whom all but 1 were treated with partial breast irradiation as per protocol. Doses to the ipsilateral breast, heart, and lung were significantly associated with the ratio of the planning target volume to whole-breast volume.
